Is your Heart Older Than You?
Someone has truly said that the human heart is full of hidden treasures. From aspiring dreams to unfulfilled wishes to silent sinful pleasures, your heart stores a lot.
Surprisingly, you can survive a broken heart, but not with an old one for long! Yes, “old” heart, because the health of your heart has nothing to do with your age. Age is just a number as they say, and it is perfectly applicable to your heart because in the modern era, cardiovascular diseases have swept over even generation Y.
Cardiovascular diseases top the list when it comes to global causes of death! It is hard to believe, but heart diseases are taking millions of lives every year around the world, not sparing even people in their 20s. Interestingly, this leading cause of death is prevalent in low-income as well as high-income countries. On the top of that, stroke has nothing to do with growing age. A stoke may come even when a person is in his/her 20s! It means, you are not too young to worry about heart disease as heart stroke comes unwarned, without taking account your biological age.
Multiple reasons cause damage to your heart, especially unhealthy and sedentary lifestyle choices. Depression, high blood pressure, smoking, obesity, and diabetes are the top causes of heart diseases. Cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by adopting right lifestyle choices, like, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy diet, shredding off excess weight, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption, get annual physical examination among others. Your heart is special, so take right care of it and keep it young.
